Tam's Cantonese Cuisine is a fully licensed Cantonese restaurant with air conditioning and car parking facilities. With more than 90 seating covers and open seven days a week, we are ideal to cater to any occasions from a romantic dinner for two, family gatherings or entertaining business clients.

We pride ourselves on quality in every area from service to food preparation and have been given 4 stars by the Telegraph and Argus. Proprietor Philip Tam has an in-depth knowledge having been in the catering trade for many years. With a hand picked team of experienced chefs and friendly restaurant staff, we believed that we provide a Cantonese experience to remember.

Cuisine

Judging by the size of China, it is not difficult to understand why there is such a large variety in Chinese food.  Every individual province has its own characteristics and specialty, yet all these different styles of cooking can be grouped under four main categories: Canton, Peking, Szechuan and Shanghai. 

Within this extensive range of variations, we have selected dishes mainly from the most famous and popular Cantonese Cuisine.  It is our ultimate aim at Tam's Cantonese Cuisine to make sure that every customer can truly enjoy and experience our unique Chinese gourmet.

Originating from the Southern part of China near the mouth of the River Pearl, the Cantonese were the first to make contact with the Western world and also to establish restaurants outside China.  Cantonese Cuisine relies very much on the freshness of the ingredients and rich flavourings; chicken stock, rice wine, fresh ginger and garlic are generously used in cooking.
